Marketing Project Coordinator

Peterson has a position for a Marketing Project Coordinator. The Marketing Project Coordinator oversees the planning, production, coordination, and completion of both new and recurring marketing projects.. This candidate must have experience in marketing, communications or business.

ORGANIZATIONAL SUPERVISION, REPORTING AND INTERFACE

The position reports directly to the Director of Marketing. The Marketing Project Coordinator will interface with other associates within the Peterson Manufacturing organization, manufacturer’s representatives and their agencies, in addition to external customers and prospects. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work directly with Director of Marketing to identify new and recurring projects and initiatives; set budgets, goals, objectives, etc.
  • Act as project lead for assigned new and recurring projects, and as department liaison for the marketing team with regard to those projects.
  • Set priorities and develop timelines for Marketing projects in process, including collaborating and assigning deadlines for project elements to department or internal staff and external contractors to ensure success and timely completion.
  • Oversee and perform day-to-day execution of the corporate trade show strategy; managing each event end to end.
  • Oversee customer e-newsletter: manage content curation, editing, working with writers/contributors, layout, distribution of newsletter and tracking of results through HubSpot platform.
  • Planning and execution of marketing strategy for corporate on-campus events.
  • Plan and execute Customer Survey under direction of Director of Marketing. Report results.
  • Create and implement a process for consistent project reporting and tracking and develop a strong set of KPIs and benchmarks. Other duties as assigned.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

  • Must be highly organized and detail-oriented with an ability to motivate, persuade and positively interact with a wide variety of people.
  • Able to work proactively/effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to manage multiple products simultaneously and prioritize workload.
  • Must work well under deadlines and possess a strong sense of self-discipline.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and positive approach to challenges.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Positive outgoing personality

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • B.A., or equivalent experience in Marketing, Communications or Business.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office and online applications. 
  • 1-3 years prior experience in marketing or sales. 
  • Proven experience with managing projects and events including trade shows is preferred. 

ENVIRONMENT

  • Duties are performed indoors at the corporate offices in Grandview, MO.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 75% of the time.
  • The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, use stairs or elevators to access offices on other floors of building, etc.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, computer printer, and phone.
  • The person in this position frequently communicates with others (internal and external) who may have various inquiries, etc.  Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
