- Lights: The #4 cause of roadcheck violations with 1,569 or 11.6% of total vehicle OOS Violations.
Driver Violations
Many drivers were found to be violating regulations related to driving hours and commercial driver’s license requirements. They often exceeded allowed driving times, falsified logs, and struggled to manage rest periods, leading to increased fatigue.
On a Positive Note
According to the CVSA, 77% of commercial motor vehicles and 95.2% of commercial motor vehicle drivers had no out-of-service (OOS) violations. The inspections noted an increase in the use of electronic logging devices (ELDs) and other safety technologies among drivers and carriers, reflecting a broader industry commitment to improving safety and compliance.
